French Reconnection Part II

Continued….

DSCF8594Leaving my haven at Rennes-Les-Bains the next day I nervously set off and upwards towards Bugarach, from there to join the D7/D10 to face the infamous Gorges de Galamus.

These gorges offer the intrepid walker, cyclist or driver the chance to tackle a few adrenalin-filled kilometres of single track road carved out of the cliffs, bordered with low side walls one side and a terrifying drop to the river far, far below. Continue reading

Handlebar Dyslexia

IMG_20131016_095315_0The head mechanic is rendered speechless as I present him with the previously boxed bicycle I’ve just assembled.

After staring in stunned silence for a disconcerting length of time, he finally, excruciatingly tears his gaze away from the machine in front of him to deliver his verdict.

Looking back, thinking forward

Sometimes it’s really good to take time to reflect, on what’s passed, what’s to come and the distance travelled in between.
