Friday the 22nd November, it’s raining in Southern California, for one of the few days this year according to all the locals I meet.
However, sunshine finally breaks back through and at 3.30 pm a police car pulls up next to me at a red light, leaning over to chat the officer asks the usual questions…
” Where d’ya start from”
Me: “Toronto”
“Awesome and just where do you finish”
Me: “In about 200 meters, at that hostel over there”

I’ll share if you will…?

At the time of writing it is exactly 100 days since I set out from Toronto and, it’s still slightly surreal. Over 4200 miles (6759km) travelled with1161 (1868km) of those down the western coast of the USA.

After crossing over 3000 miles (4828km) of Canadian territory I think I had a slightly lackadaisical attitude towards covering just half that distance to cycle the USA from top to bottom.
